Drain Clogs

Is your sink or shower clogged? You can normally remove small clogs using a combination of a plunger, a plastic drain cleaning tool, and liquid cleaners. You can purchase all of these tools at your closest hardware store.

Toilets

If your toilet clogs, press your plunger over the drainage hole and move it up and down to push the blockage through the pipes. You may need to repeat this action multiple times to get the desired result.

No power in your property? You should call your electric company to see if they can help you isolate the problem. There may be issues in your neighborhood that are impacting multiple homes, or a billing issue might be the cause of the issue.

If you don't have hot water in your property, check the settings on your water heater. If your heating tank has a pilot light, verify that this is lit. Your tank may also be operating in vacation mode, which limits the amount of water available.

If you make any changes to the settings, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing to see whether the new settings are working properly.

If your heat or air conditioning isn't working, check the settings on your thermostat. You may be able to cycle the system off and on, which should restore the defaults.
